Dendron
Historical Society Information ![]() Thomas Huber conducts the program at this Historical Society Meeting. Thomas has been giving his famous quizzes about things that have happened in the Town over the past decades for some time. They have made the long time residents wonder if they really lived here, and those of us who are newer to the Town just scratch our heads. Those of you who are not able to attend the meetings are truly missing a treat. A couple of his quizzes have made it into the quarterly newsletter, so you may still have a chance to enjoy them even if you can not attend the meetings. Also pictured above are: Thurman Williams, Audrey (Bishop) Williams, Lena (Barlow) Bish and in the back is Roy Warner. Check out what happened on Dendron's 100th Anniversary Brick ProjectThe Dendron Historical Society is building a museum to display photographs, articles, items and anything else that has to do with the Town of Dendron and why it is here. As a part of that effort the Society is installing a 40 feet by 4 feet brick sidewalk leading to the main entrance of the museum building. We are selling bricks for a donation of $100 that you can have someone’s name engraved on and forever displayed in the Town. You are limited to 13 letters or spaces per line and up to three lines per brick. The letters will be epoxy filled so the name will stand out. We ask that if you want to remember or honor someone with a brick that you also send a biographical sketch of that person. The sketches will be available in the museum so if some one wants to know about the person on the brick there will be information available to tell who the are and why their name is there.
